Our Team

Dr. Chinn graduated from U.C Berkeley School of Optometry in 1972. HE was born and raised in Oakland, CA. After school, he moved down to San Diego with his wife. He has been married since 1977, and has one daughter who is also an Optometrist here at this practice.

Dr. Chinn has been in private practice for over 30 years here in San Diego. As a Glaucoma certified and American Board of Optometry certified Optometrist, he has served as the Primary Eye Care professional to help many people with Keratoconus, Glaucoma, Diabetic Eye Disease, Binocular Vision Problems, and Low Vision. Dr. Chinn is a member of the California Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association and the San Diego County Optometric Society.

When he’s not busy laughing with patients, he enjoys spending time with his family. He is also an avid sports fan who enjoys watching basketball, football, tennis and swimming.

Dr. Chinn is multilingual. English is his first language but he can also perform eye exams in Chinese and Vietnamese.

Dr. Jenn is a second-generation optometrist and a private practice owner in San Diego, CA. She graduated from the University of Missouri, St. Louis College of Optometry in 2015 on the Dean’s List and as a member of the prestigious Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. She completed clinical rotations co-managing patients with an emphasis on Glaucoma, Retinal Disease, Low Vision, Diabetes and Corneal Disease. She also had clinical rotations in private practice, focusing on Vision Therapy for pediatric patients and patients who have suffered traumatic brain injuries.

Dr. Jenn has participated and continues to participate in mission trips with the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) to provide eye care services to underserved populations. During optometry school, she first served in Guatemala and Peru. She has since travelled to Tecate and Tijuana, Mexico, for many clinics with local Optometry Students and SDSU Undergraduate students!

She is a member of the California Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, the Optical Women’s Association, the Volunteer Optometric Services to
Humanity, and the San Diego County Optometric Society. Dr. Jenn is currently serving on the membership committee for the California Optometric Association and is the Leader of the San Diego Chapter of the Young Optometrists of America.
